A good fat and protein content make these PB protein balls the perfect snack for doggies on the go! You do not have to cook these. You can keep them raw as they are in the fridge for a week. If you cook them, they last about 3 weeks in an uncovered bowl.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cups oat flour (fine oatmeal)
  • 1 cups brown rice flour
  • 1/2 cup pure brown rice protein powder
  • 3 tbs coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 cup low-salt peanut butter
  • 3/4-1 cup water less or more depending on your oat flour)
  • 2 tbs flaxmeal
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat an oven to 180C (or 160C fan forced) and line two cookie trays with baking paper (if baking these).
  2. Mix the flax meal with the water in medium bowl and allow to sit for about 5 minutes (or until thickened).
  3. Add all the other ingredients until you get a firm dough.
  4. Pinch of a heaped tablespoon of the peanut butter dough and squeeze slightly together (to compact) then roll between the palm of yours hands into balls (makes about 30). Place balls on a baking tray (if baking)
  5. Bake for approximately 20 minutes (or until lightly golden brown) then take out of the oven and set aside the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
