Fruitcake Season

It’s officially holiday season which means the good ol’ traditional English fruitcake gets a showing.


Here at Foföko, we’ve done things a little differently. We’ve not only given you guys the Classic fruitcake in a vegan-friendly version, we’ve given you 19 others that are fun alternatives to the over-sweetened, alcohol-burned-throat experience you often get from traditional fruitcakes.

By all means, if you like yours extra boozy, I would add in an extra 1/4 cup plain flour,  bake it 3 days in advance and brush with your favourite alcohol every day, then apply the topping just before serving.

My top three: Candied, Walnut & Candied Orange Fruitcake, Cranberry, White Choc & Ginger and the Dutch Chocolate Fruitcake
